Jesse Ventura is the man.
Don’t believe me, just look at his resume:
- Navy Seal
- Pro Wrestler
- Gov. of the State of Minnesota
- Bodyguard for the Rolling Stones
- Television & Radio Personality
- Author
- Independent Political and Social Activist
Plus more. All in one lifetime. That puts him in “The Man” category.
Although I don’t agree FULLY with ALL of his political and social stances, he’s definitely worth listening to and it’s always refreshing when someone intelligent – who isn’t exclusively aligned with one political ideology – is featured in the mainstream media and doesn’t rollover.
On the other hand, Piers Morgan can sometimes come off a little condescending and childish, wrestling and grappling for his egos existence. Although I don’t know him personally and can’t say whether or not he’s like this in REAL life (perhaps his behaviour in front of the camera is just his shtick?) I still find him to be like the annoying little troublemaker, slyly trying to manipulate the story on a technicality. You know the type;
Brother: Mommy, Piers ran over and pushed me!
Mom: Piers, did you run over and push your brother?
Piers: No, I didn’t “run” over and push him.
Because he “jogged” over.
Anyways, I absolutely LOVE the 11:30-12:05 mark of this clip. You got sonned, son.
P.S: I actually don’t mind Piers when he’s doing interviews with guests who aren’t controversial or when he’s basically just holding a regular conversation (i.e. Kelsey Grammar and 50 Cent interviews). It’s when he starts getting into it with guests who are much more informed than him on a given topic that kind of turns me off (i.e. Toure).
