Obama got re-elected last week and while some of you might’ve been anticipating a longer, more thorough write-up regarding this historic event, I’m opting to keep it simple…
“Man must cease attributing his problems to his environment, and learn again to exercise his will – his personal responsibility.” – Albert Einstein
Many people around the world, myself formerly included, often go through life arguing for their limitations, blaming others or finding excuses to justify why things didn’t work out. These are the people that spend their lives living in the motionless abyss of “if onlys”.
Yes, Obama got re-elected.
Yes, many of the government’s decisions have far-reaching consequences for its population.
But, it is only YOU who can make the decision to adapt and make positive changes in your life.
Obama isn’t going to make you go to the gym at 6 a.m nor is he going to make you read nutrition information labels at the grocery store. He’s not going to make you save money for your retirement nor is he going to ask your boss to give you that raise you feel you deserve. He’s not going to enroll you in school, do homework with your kids or make you a more patient and understanding neighbour, son, boss, daughter, parent or friend.
It’s on YOU to take action.
